The Delineator Analytic

The Delineator Analytic is a proprietary rules based methodology developed by Hammer Capital Management. It is used to trade ETF's (Exchange Traded Funds) such as SPY, QQQ and DIA indexes. Integrated into the Delineator is a disciplined decision making methodology that identifies short term trading opportunities. Entering and exiting an actual trade is done in a precise order from the signals generated by the Delineator.

A major advantage of the Delineator (as compared to other market timing tools) is that the Delineator itself does not use the underlying price of the ETF as a basis of calculation, but rather uses independent market variables to derive the indicator and make rules based trading decisions. The importance of this cannot be overstated. Additionally, the Delineator relies on a proprietary secondary indicator to confirm the validity of each signal. This secondary indicator is also based on independent market variables.

The Delineator offers several trading strategies, each of which carries its own risk/reward ratio. You may base decisions from different scenarios should you desire, and you will find them as you learn to use the Delineator. For those subscribing to the Delineator Advanced package we will provide details of other possible trading strategies as well as interpretations and commentaries during the trading day.

When the Delineator was first developed, all of the Delineator components (there are many) were charted individually in the system. This initial system was quite complex and fairly difficult to interpret. After more than a year's worth of refinement, we have created a service that is easy to use by following one simple color coded indicator line that reflects all of the components in the Delineator Analytic methodology.
